2 x ETA PE-K 110kW Biomass Boiler
Glenisla is a 42-bed operational care home which is part of the Parklands Care Group.
This is a fully funded project to replace an existing electric heating system. Due to space restrictions a containerised solution was used where boiler and fuel store are all set up and ready to go in a heat cabin causing limited disruption to the care home.
This is one of a number of installs which will eventually see the whole of Parklands Care Group converted to biomass to provide heating and hot water.
A brand new heat cabin containing two PE-K 110kW biomass boilers was constructed off site and transported to a pre-prepared base at the care home. In this scenario two boilers were installed to ensure the care home has a back-up heat supply. A new central heating system was also included as part of the project which involved replacing the electric radiators and as a result improving comfort levels, saving carbon and significantly reducing costs.
Simon Wrench, Parklands Group Finance Director:
”Over the last four months we have worked with Innasol & ESP to install fully funded biomass boilers at two of our care homes. From initial site survey, installation, through to biomass handover all aspects of project planning were taken care of by Innasol and ESP. Importantly throughout the installation phase there was minimal disruption to our daily operations and residents. We look forward to working with Innasol & ESP on future biomass installations.”
